You all remember how I felt about my laundry room, right? Well, not anymore! We finally got around to making some improvements and now doing my 15 loads (on average) of laundry a week doesn't seem so daunting. Until I return to work that is.
A new coat of creamy white was added to the walls along with new shelves cut from mdf and painted white. Lots more storage now!
Sherry and Wanderluster had both suggested adding a counter, (among other great ideas!) which the DH cut also from mdf. I admit, I do like folding clothes better here than sitting on the couch/floor/bed to do so. There is also a smart little nook for a tall basket, my canister vac, or Coco underneath!
I still have my plastic bag holder, drying rack, and broom hung on the inside wall. Just out of sight. Practical is my middle name, y'know.
Even though, I like for things to look nice. I originally wanted vintage milk crates for storage, but I found these old wooden boxes much more affordable and they still give the look I was after. In addition, I found this cute little wooden tool box with a rope handle that now houses my cleaning supplies oh-so-sweetly.
The project with a few small accessory purchases came in under $200. But, the feeling of more space in one of the most used rooms in the house...priceless.
