The Entry Finale

I thought it would never happen.  But, my entry is really complete.  Really!  Finished!  Done!

I've posted about the entry before when we painted, decided on what to hang along the stairs, and when Jeff added some trim and hooks.  Here's a quick recap in pictures.

So, everything looked good-except the front door.  I had been wanting to get a new door for YEARS, but those things are pricey.
Hello, dark and outdated foyer.  Blah.

Then, this past summer I found the front door that I had been wanting for.ev.er at that big orange box store.  I sent Jeff a picture and asked him to look around for me.  Guess what?  He found THE door ON SALE because this particular one had a little knick off of one of the bottom corners!  We paid a whopping $39!  All we had to do was stain and hang it!  And my handy dandy  man did it all himself.  We even reused the hardware from the old door.  Take a look at this gorgeousness.

The amount of light our entry now gets is amazing.  We love it!   You can't even see the knick because it was cut off when we had to trim the door to size!  Oh, and no worries about privacy here.  We live in the middle of the woods.  So thankful.

My super talented sister made this beautiful wreath for me this fall.  It is the perfect jewlrey to our beautiful new door and finished entry!

Easter

We had such a great Easter!  Mamaw had done some shopping for the kids and they looked super spiffy!  Baby A's outfit was actually made by my mom for Aiden when he was 2.  A wore it well!

We traveled south to attend church with Grandma Shirley.  Then she treated us to a delicious meal, egg hunt, and Easter baskets.  She spoils us so!

Then we stopped by KeeKee and Jeff's on our way back home and we all went to the Varsity for dinner.  It is always great to spend time with them!

We were tired, but happy, by the time we made it back home.  A day filled with family and a time to remember Christ's love for us-there's nothing better!

A Lunch Date

So, today I had to make a trip into the city.  And, of course, a trip to the city means getting to see my sister!  We had planned to grab some lunch and make a quick stop by the Container Store.  Oh, Ialsohadtogotocourtformyspeedingticket.  But, the REAL reason I was going was to have lunch with my sister.  (That is what I kept telling myself anyway.)  We ate at Souper Jenny.  I had the taco soup, fruit with yogurt and honey, a roll, oatmeal raisin cookie, and iced tea.  :)

Have you eaten lunch at a cute little spot lately?  Ever been to court for a speeding ticket?

May The Odds Be Ever in Your Favor

Carrie, Liz, and I hit up the movie theater on Friday for the much anticipated Hunger Games!  All three of us read the trilogy and loved it!  Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Rue-I could go on and on-the characters are amazing.  This is totally my genre and the movie did not disappoint!

Are you a Hunger Games fan?  Have you seen the movie yet?

Two Dates in One Day

Lenny requested a date with me and I was happy to oblige!  We started out with a brief trip through an antique store and I had to restrain myself from taking these lovelies home with me.
I can't promise they will not come home with me next week.  That platter would look perfect on my fireplace mantel and I'm in love with that turquoise and rust.

Then we had lunch at Ihop.

And finished the date out with some errands.

When I got home it was time to get ready for our night out with Carrie and Jeff.  We had the best time in downtown Athens!  We did a little browsing, a little drinking, and a lot of eating!  The Last Resort has our numbers.  Yum!  I'm so thankful to have my sister here.  I would not want to do life without her!
My husband is spoiling me this birthday weekend and I'm loving it!  Thank you Jeff!
