Graduation Party

I had been looking forward to Avery's graduation party for months. I wanted the day to be a complete celebration of our special girl and it was!




My mom worked, as usual, on getting the food ready.




Jeff had worked for weeks on getting the outside of the house ready and it looked beautiful!
Dad and Jeff found a place to chill out together!



My sweet friend, Laura, gathered wildflowers because Avery had asked for a lot of colorful flowers. The flowers were my favorite touch! Just beautiful!


My talented sister made the most delicious cupcakes and wrote some special messages.


The day was made by the people who came to congratulate Avery with us!



We are only able to get together as a family about 2 or 3 times a year, so a dinner out was the perfect way to end a beautiful day celebrating one of the biggest joys of our life!

Graduation

I cannot say enough about how proud I am to be this girl's mom! She is remarkable! She stole my heart almost 18 years ago (18!! Oh my! I hadn't thought of that.) and I've been her #1 fan ever since. We have spent that last week celebrating my girl and tonight her biggest cheerleaders gathered to celebrate as she graduated high school.

You will be hard pressed to find anyone to say negative things about her. Seriously. She is wise, loves big, genuine, sees the best in others, naturally beautiful, and smart.

These two boys love her something fierce.






During the ceremony as students' names were called, Asher started echoing with "Avery-Kirubel-Mixon."



I can't believe it is time to start a new chapter. To be honest, it hasn't sunk in yet.



Tonight I'm just a proud mom and I'm so very happy that we were all here together to celebrate this big life event with her.

Senior Prom

We are in such a sweet season with our senior. With only 3 weeks to go before graduation, every event takes on a emotional feeling.




Prom was extra special this year, too, because Avery has such a great guy to share it with. I'm so happy that she has found someone who treats her as she deserves to be treated. Praise God for this healthy teenage relationship!















We were sweating the dress arriving in time, but it did!







Avery always does such a great job choosing a dress and how she wants her hair and make up done. Such a beauty!

Pictures were taken on UGA's North Campus before the group walked to dinner and then onto the dance at the Classic Center.
