Indiana: Days 4 & 5

On Tuesday I hung out for a bit with Mamaw Hazel looking through family photographs with her. I want to soak up as much family history as I can. My Papaw has been gone 15 years and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't regret not spending more time with him. He was a tail gunner in WWII and I would just love to hear his stories about that period of time. This is one reason I long for my parents to move to GA. I want my kids to be as close as possible to them and for them to be able to be involved in our everyday lives. I was so fortunate to grow up 10 min. away from both sets of grandparents. Family is precious to me and the older I get the more true it is. So, it was great to spend a few hours at Mamaw's house.

Then on Wednesday mom and I took the kids to Conner Prairie. Lenny loved every minute of it and was such the little sponge. Coco is still a little young to appreciate it all, but hung in there. Baby A was a trooper even though it was hot and he was in the stroller all day.

I was glad that most of the houses had some toys that Coco could play with. He liked that, too!

My mom hates having her picture taken, but I made her get in this one.

Along with all of the outdoor exhibits, they had a great indoor playroom. The kids would have stayed there and played all afternoon! We can't wait to go back and visit next time we are home!
