This is also the day I fell in love with the house across the street from the church. I've always loved the old houses on this street, but this one was now for sale. And you wouldn't believe the asking price. Granted, I did not see the inside, but oh my word. I would consider moving to the cold climate again and live in this house. Mom said the house has been in the same family since it was built in 1900. She can't believe they are selling it. I almost called the realtor to see if she would show it to me, but she knows my grandma, so I decided against it.
Look at that front door!
To live in town with sidewalks...ahh.
Speaking of my grandma, we also visited with her and she got to meet Baby A.
Then we went out for my favorite kind of pizza for dinner. We'd have it every week if there was one here.
When we got home the kids walked down the road to Jerry and Mary's house. They love to go visit because Jerry and Mary have a pool table, Wii, and other toys down in their basement. They don't have any kids or grandkids and like to visit with my hoodlums when they come to town. Go figure. I love that I could let them go by themselves. There wasn't one car that passed by and I could watch them the whole way. It is almost like stepping back in time-letting my kids be kids and just go. Don't you remember riding your bike for hours by yourself when you were a kid? I hate that my kids don't get to experience things like that.
They were a ways down the road by the time I ran back inside to grab the camera. :-)
Finally, we ended the night with a little picture taking. Coco and Lizzy were game, so out we went. The mosquitoes were soooo bad, so we didn't stay out long.
Oh, the curls!
The corn was already so high!
