Books I Read On Vacation

We're back. I still am without a laptop, so pictures of our vacation will come sometime this week, hopefully!

Probably the thing I was most looking forward to on our vacation was being able to read. When I'm home, especially during the school year, I tend to not read very much because there is always something that needs to be done. On vacation, I am able to have total relaxation and no house to keep and I read, read, read.

Here are the books I read last week.

Found is a great new series for young adults by Margaret Haddix (Among the Hidden series). Loved it and am having Ave read it now.

I haven't actually finished I'm Chocolate, You're Vanilla or Praying for Sheetrock, but I got a good start on both of them. They aren't you're easy beach reads.

Jeff's mom had given me The Memory Keeper's Daughter to read. It was an easy read and good. I caught the last 20 min. of the Lifetime movie though and it was horrible. But books are always better than the movies.

Next read: Stargirl. Avery has highly recommended this to me, plus the sequel, Love, Stargirl.

*Oh! I almost forgot. Aiden sat through three books one evening before bed. That is a record. I know he was probably totally drained from a day at the beach, but he listened and followed the pictures! Yay! Jeff caught him today awake from his nap still in bed reading a Dora book. You can bet we'll be visiting the library this week!

Dzef also likes to read. You may have seen Dzef reading "Clemente" at the beach, though I'm not sure Dzef is familiar with the Dora books. Dzef sends Aiden a hearty hello!

Gosh, four books!! I am lucky if I read four in six months!!! But I did read Memory Keeper's Daughter last year. Book is definitely better than the Lifetime movie which I caught last week too!!! The crew was gone for the night so I had the TV to myself.
