I know the term is a little strange, especially to those of you who have been eating this way for awhile. But, I have jumped on the clean eating bandwagon. We have always done a fairly good job of eating well. The only difference is now I'm trying to be more conscious of it. We belong to a produce co-op and have been so happy with the foods we have gotten. After reading 7 and seeing a few food documentaries, eating clean makes sense. However, it is expensive. Even with our co-op, I spent about $50 more than I usually do a week at the grocery store. I know I can still save on the middle of the store items that we eat weekly for snacks and breakfast and still plan on couponing for those and household items. I am using the emeals clean eating plan. It would be cheaper, I assume, if I came up with my own meals using the produce we get every week. But, emeals has been a lifesaver for me as I don't have to put so much time into planning our weekly dinners and grocery list. We had our first meal off of the plan last night.
It was sooo yummy! And made by a great cook who I happen to be married to. Lucky me!
What do you think about clean eating?
