Thank You Daylight Savings Time for Causing Me to Wake Up in the Middle of the Night

So, Liz's team played awesome yesterday until it counted and they ended up losing to a team they have easily beaten before.  Boo.  That meant we were bumped down into a bronze playoff bracket even though points-record-wise we were 5th out of 32 teams (holla to Mama Pam for figuring that out).  Said bronze playoff site was an hour and a half away from home.  Another boo.  Annnnd, last night we sprung forward moving our clocks ahead one hour.

All of this to say, I had to wake up at 3:30 a.m.

Technically, according to the clock, it was 4:30 a.m., but to my internal clock it was 3:30 a.m.  Talk about total suckage to this mama who lives and breathes to find herself in bed sleeping and could easily sleep 12 hours a day.

Anywho, it ended up being fine.  We got to the gym in time (without getting a speeding ticket like yesterday.  Yes.  I did.  On 285.  And it is going to be uber expensive.  I'm an idiot.) and I had a nap this afternoon to make up for lost sleep this morning.

Coco made the trip with us as he is hanging with Grandma Shirley tonight and tomorrow.  I've already seen pictures posted by Aunt Jill and heard that Grandma and her friends took Coco to hibachi after church.  It is no surprise why he begs to go to Grandma's!  Not only is he a mama's boy, but a grandma's boy, too.  :)

After we dropped Liz off for warm ups he and I made a quick run for breakfast at Micky D's.  Sadly, this is the only picture of today.  Well, besides the few I took as Liz and I made a quick run through IKEA.  And I didn't buy a thing.  You read paragraph three, right?  I will be happy to feed my kids by the end of the month.  I repeat.  I'm an idiot.

Coco's NOT a morning person.  Oh yeah, check out the kid asleep behind Coke.  It was 7 a.m. (that felt like 6 a.m. remember :).  He was by himself.  It was concerning and I told the workers who apparently had a shift change and didn't realize he was there.  Weird.

Unfortunately, Liz's team lost their 2nd match and which knocked them out of the tournament.  Liz played consistently well all weekend, though, and I'm proud of the progress she has made!

Ok, off to bed!  It is 9 p.m. that feels like 10 p.m.

How long does it take your body to adjust to the time change?  Are you a fan?  Obviously, this born and raised Hoosier is not.  (Indiana did not participate in DST until the last few years.)

I had no idea that Indiana didn't participate in DST until recently! That's so interesting! I love to fall back, but really hate springing forward. I guess I just like my extra hour of sleep a little too much. :-)
