Read Across America Day

Today was my busiest day of the school year.  Not only was I running our biannual book fair and celebrating Dr. Suess' birthday, but I had scheduled around 20 volunteer readers to spend some time with students throughout the day AND I decided it would be a good day to have book character dress up day as well.  Whew!  Can I just say I will sleep well tonight!  Everything went great and what a fun day we had.  We even got an extra awesome bonus by finding out who our principal for next year would be.  That has been a source of stress for a long time and especially this year for me.  Now I am so glad and I can rest easy knowing that we are going to become a great school under his leadership!

Jeff came in and read to Coco's class.  How thankful I am to have a husband and a father to my children that is so involved!

Coco dressed as Tacky the Penguin.  He was a little miffed that he didn't place in our contest.

I was dressed as Miss Lotty Scales the Library Dragon.  Fitting, right?  Here is a picture of her in case you are not familiar.  

I have 2 more days of book fair and then it should be smooth sailing for me the remainder of the year.  Spring Break is only one month away!  Woohoo!
