Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to the best Dad around!  He would never say so, but Jeff is the most hands on dad that you will ever meet!  He potty trains, bathes, rocks to sleep, reads to, plays with, and coaches (plus much more) our kids.  All while working a full time stressful job which requires him to commute at least one hour each way daily.  There is no way I would be able to do this parent thing without him.  Not surprisingly, all he wanted for his birthday was dinner and a cake.  He chose wings and we headed to Harry's which is a family favorite.  Can you believe they had sold out of wings?!  He settled for some ribs and the rest of us enjoyed my favorite-bbq sandwiches.  



Then we came home and had some carrot cake made by me and Audrey.  Complete with a silly rendition of "Happy Birthday." 

To wrap up our birthday wishes, the kids say it best.  Here is what Lizzy wrote on fb. 

Happy Birthday, Daddy! I know we've had our ups and downs, but our family would be absolutely nothing without you. No matter how much you tease me or lecture me, I will always love you with every little bit of my heart. I'm so grateful to have a dad that actually cares about who I am and who I'll become. Thank you for everything; all the great advice, all the funny moments, and all the wonderful memories that I will cherish all my life. I know that all us kids just about drive you into the ground day by day, but we really do love you no matter how much we act like we don't. Thank you for all you've given us, and just in case you missed it - I LOVE YOU! ♥
