Porch Spurce Up Part 1

Photobucket

Sarah over at Thrifty Decor Chick is having a party- and one that I can participate in! Yay! What kind of party? Well, I'm glad you asked! A SPRAY PAINT party! As my husband and children well know, spray paint is a very good friend of mine. I've used it on hinges and door knobs, candle sticks, a coffee table, a chandelier, you name it! Spray paint can turn those thrift store finds into something new for your home. Just look what happened to this old white wicker loveseat that I found at Goodwill for $20!

Just with 3 cans of spray paint!

You may remember when I mentioned
here about planning to use the colors turquoise and red. This is the first installment and I love it!

Originally, I had wanted a red seat cushion, but I found out they are hard to come by! With a tball team pool party happening at our house last Saturday, I needed to find a cushion quick. TJ Maxx to the rescue! I found this striped cushion for $30. The pillows (and the pool) are what sparked my color scheme. I found the pillows at Home Depot for $13 a piece. Although they aren't matchy matchy with the seat cushion, I still think it all works well together.

Since the inside of my house is more neutral, I'm happy to get a chance to use these bright colors outside. Do you have a color scheme for your porch or deck? Do you go for bright and bold or sweet and soft?

For more adventures in spray paint, stay tuned! Next up? This bad boy!
