I took a trip to our local supermarket this afternoon and was able to shop without children. A much more enjoyable experience, don't you agree? As I was perusing the aisles, I noticed that there is a great deal of Asian and Latin food that looks really good. I can't wait to find some recipes to try out where I can use some of the food items available. What are some of your favorite Asian and Mexican or Latin recipes? Please share!
Another favorite food of mine is bread. I could eat my weight in bread. Rolls, pastries, big pretzels, yum, yum, and yum. I've had a bread machine since I've been an "adult" (which happened really early) and it finally bit the dust in the last 6 months. Lucky for me, my mom got me a new one for Christmas! I tried it out tonight and made pizza crust.
Bread is so easy to make in the bread machine and fresh bread is soooo good!
Fresh pizza is, too!
Remember our pizza party?
I also made a coffee cake for us to enjoy in the morning before church (that is if I can keep my hands off of a piece tonight).
One the websites I use the most for quick, tasty dinners is Easy Dinner Recipes. What is your favorite recipe site?
So, I think I'm off to a pretty good start to enjoy eating in. It won't be nearly as fun as eating out, y'know with the clean up and all, but I will feel good that we are saving money and eating well! That coffee cake is definitely calling my name...

your pizza looks good!
pad thai is really easy and so yummy. you can substitute chicken for the shrimp and/or tofu in this recipe.
we like enchiladas -- i make mine w/ goat cheese and corn salsa, but here's a popular recipe for chicken enchiladas and a lower-fat alternative.
we are big curry fans here. cooking light has a great crockpot vegetable and chickpea curry recipe, and i'm sure you could figure out how to sub in some chicken.
finally, i think you might like real simple's recipes, which are often very quick. i also really like recipes from cooking light -- they're quick and nutritious.
