Design Boards-My First Attempt!

As you all know, I'm working on fixing up our laundry room. If you didn't know that, get caught up here.

I received some wonderful comments and ideas from some of you. Thank you! I'm still not sure whether or not to go with an arrangement like this



or more like Wanderluster suggested in her comment and along the lines of Sherry's laundry room here



I love Wanderluster's idea to put wallpaper on the left and right walls. Although Jeff says I will have to hang it myself. He cannot stand wallpaper. It may be because he spent many an hour during our first year here tearing it down. Because of all that tearing we will have to have many of our walls patched and sanded and smoothed by a professional. But, hey, we're talking about something we can do here. Fixing my laundry room!

I've come up with 2 ideas-as of now. These are so subject to change with your input!

Idea #1



The wall color is very similar to what it is now, but it would be balanced by that lovely organic wallpaper to the right and left. We'd have a floating white shelf or two with both designs. The tile would be whatever we can find cheapest in the right color scheme.

Idea #2



A slightly bolder color scheme here. I like the touch of black in the frame and metal in the basket. I'd have several frames (you know I love my pictures!) and baskets with both designs.

So, what do you think???
