Lizzy is out of town. :-( You can see Coco's curls. He was there with us! The middles spent most of the time we were on stage with their arms around each other. It was precious.
Today we dedicated Baby A to the Lord. We promised to guide him, pray over him, and committed to raise him in a Christian home. I couldn't help but get emotional because Baby A being a part of our family was completely and beautifully orchestrated by God.
Here is the letter that we will give him when he begins to search for the truth when he is older.
Dear A,
God blessed you with two very special parents and they have been anticipating today when they would present you with this letter. Many years ago I wrote this letter for you on your dedication day. At your dedication on January 17, 2010, your parents stood before New Community Church and committed to raise you in a home in which Christ in honored. We prayed that you would grow up learning of God's love and that one day you would be curious about Jesus.
Your parents have made most of life's important decisions for you until now. Today they believe that you are old enough to consider a decision on your own. There is one decision that only you can make. You alone must decide how to respond to God's love for you in Jesus. You must decide who Jesus really is. I urge you to seek to know Jesus deeply and trust him to lead your life. It has been the prayer of your parents, New Community Church, and of me that you would allow Christ to live in you. Your mom and dad can tell you more about how to trust Jesus.
May you know the unconditional love of Jesus.
In His Love,
Tracy Eye
Tracy is one of my dearest friends and she also happens to be the head of children's ministry at NC, and to have her write this letter to Baby A means so much.
Today was a special day! A blessed day!

Sweet post but I have to say - although it's completely out of the realm of appropriateness here - you have the most gorgeous skin of any human being I have ever met in person. Hands down.
Your shallow friend,
Beth
You crack me up Beth!
