I'm not one to make resolutions, but I do have a few goals for 2010. One of them is Project 365. The idea behind 365 is to have a year's full of memories documented through blogging. I'm currently (very slowly) working on a blog book from the few years that I've had Mixon Mania up and running. For Project 365, I will post a picture daily to document something that happened that day. This is a lofty goal for a busy mom of four! But, I think I can do it. And if not, oh well!
My first post of the new year let's you in on another of my goals-decorating and DIY projects! I love, love to decorate and spend a lot of my free time looking at design sites and HGTV. We have been in our house for five years this month. We have done a lot, but there is a lot more that I want to do! The threat of not being able to keep our house due to finances (or lack there of) is constantly in the back of my mind. It has actually made me appreciate where we live even more. This is exactly where I want to raise my kids-land and privacy galore! I love that our home is our sanctuary. We are here and do not have to be bothered with the rest of the world. It is just the six of us. So, as long as we are able, we will enjoy living in and improving our home!
We had a very lazy day (in fact, I'm still in my jammies!). We finally got all the Christmas decorations packed and put away which allowed me to take on my first project of the year.
I rehung and added some frames to our stairway photo collage. This was not a fun or fast project. I first laid all the frames out on the floor arranged how I wanted them to be on the wall. Then it was on to measuring and hanging one frame at a time. I am not one to start a project and not finish, in fact unfinished projects are one of my biggest pet peeves, so finish I did! I'm happy with the end result. I have some photos to change/add and Asher's one year old portrait will hang next to his siblings', but other than that, I'm done!

Definitely not committing to the 365 thing but have been trying to drop my blog into a book using Blurb. Is that what you are using? It is slow and hard to maneuver. Thinking I might do this instead of blogging AND scrapbooking- just not enough time in the day for both!
