On June 9, 1997 I gave birth to my miracle. God blessed me with Avery for a reason and in these 11 years I've traveled down a path that I might not have gotten on if she hadn't entered my life. I am beyond grateful for Avery every single day.
Avery is mature beyond her years and always has been. She is our oldest child and knows her role well. Avery is wonderful with her brother and sister and they absolutely adore her. As our most sensitive child, she is more aware of things than she tends to let on. She is a thinker. And what a beautiful young woman she is becoming!
Along with The Cosby Show (BEST show of all time!) and I Love Lucy DVDs, both of which Avery just laughs and laughs at, she also had her pictures taken by Joan Strunk (I'll have to scan some in when we get them back. Breathtaking!), and officially entered the tween/teen years by becoming a brace face. She has been sore, but excited. I'm sure both will wear off quickly.
